The picture on the left is also underexposed and this
was corrected before any further work was carried out.
Notice that the eyes in the right image have had the
whites made whiter, the colour has been made a more
striking green and a dark circle has been added around
the iris to make them more catlike. The skin has been
smoothed and the harsh reflections from the flash have
been removed. The lipstick has been re-coloured and
given extra highlights to make them appear more glossy.
Notice also that the eyelashes have been individually
painted over to make them show off the eyes and even the
hair has been given a little extra shine.
Below: A
black & white variation with background removed then
re-coloured plus a computer generated spot light for
added effect.

See the
eye close up below for another more detailed example.
The photograph below was taken with the subject sitting
in front of a dull grey garage roller door, complete
with shelving and tins of paint and an ordinary flash
gun was used. The garage door was digitally removed and
then the background was painted black. The lighting was
also created artificially using software to give a
spotlight appearance and finally the subject was given
the glamour treatment. A finishing touch was to make her
shirt a stronger shade of blue.
These are just a few examples of makeovers and hopefully
it has given you a little insight of what can be
accomplished. In addition we can do many things to your
photographs, including colouring black & white,
recolouring objects within a photograph or even adding
objects there weren't in the original shot; not to
mention removing objects.
It's really down to personal taste. The best thing you
can do is decide what you want and then get in touch to
see if it's possible.
Also take a look at our photo restoring page to give you more idea of the
possibilities available.
